Buffalo City Relatives can confirm with excitement that three of their players will take part in the Orlando Pirates Cup.
Mbasa Nywagi (goalkeeper), Onwabile “Wiser” Nobavu (attacking midfielder), and Liyanda “Appollis” Lugqola (winger) will join Eresa Academy to compete in the prestigious tournament.
The Pirates Cup, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, will take place from 3–6 April and is a U/21 soccer tournament.
The matches will be held at UJ AW Muller Stadium, where Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, along with his technical team, will be in attendance to scout potential talent for the club.
Pirates have previously benefited from the tournament, with players such as Simphiwe Selepe and star attacker Relebohile Mofokeng having featured in it.
Nywagi, Nobavu, and Lugqola will be hoping to make their mark and impress scouts in a bid to secure professional opportunities.
Mamelodi Sundowns are the defending champions, having won the U/21 tournament last year.
