Buffalo City Relatives FC head coach, spoke to Siya Gijana Soccer Reports after their 2 ➖ 1 triumph over Komani United FC at Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Sunday.
“This victory gives us a breather but there’s no time to relax. If you check Komani was number two, we had an advantage of two points. But because we managed to beat them today [Sunday] the gap becomes 5 points.
There is a team [MARU FC] that won yesterday [Saturday] they were our number 3 [on the log standings, now number 2]. We’re ahead on points by two points and next week we’re playing against them, so there’s no time to relax.
We’re happy we have passed this one but we need to win even the next one. We want to open the gap when that opportunity arises.
What’s important in this league is not to lose against the teams you’re competing [for the league title], especially the top 3 or 4. You’re not supposed to lose when you play against them. When you get victories against those teams there’s a 90% possibility to win the stream.” He enlightened.
